Buying a TV without the overwhelm

The specs are designed to confuse. Here's the short, plain-language version of what actually matters for your room.

Shopping for a television has become strangely stressful. Every model promises a different acronym, the sizes all sound enormous, and the salesperson is steering you toward whatever's on the shelf. You don't need to become an expert to make a good choice — you just need a few honest questions answered for your room.

Start with the room, not the spec sheet. How far is the sofa from the wall? How much light pours in during the day? A bright, sunny room and a cozy media den call for genuinely different screens, and getting that match right matters far more than chasing the newest panel.

Size is the decision people most often get backwards. In a dedicated viewing space, a screen that feels "too big" in the store is usually right at home. We help you picture the actual sightline from where you'll sit, so the picture fills the room without dominating it.

Most of the alphabet soup — the picture technologies, the refresh numbers — narrows down quickly once we know how you'll use the room and what you tend to watch. We translate it into a plain recommendation: this one, for these reasons, in your space. No upselling, no jargon.

And a beautiful screen still needs to be easy to live with. We mount it cleanly, hide the cables, and simplify the inputs so anyone in the household can switch from the news to a film without a second remote or a sense of dread.

If you'd rather not face the showroom at all, you don't have to. Tell us about the room and how you watch, and we'll handle the rest — buying guidance is exactly the kind of thing one trusted person should take off your plate.
